Website Improvement Audit: A Practical SEO, Trust and AdSense Checklist

A transparent checklist for reviewing public website signals before requesting indexing or monetisation review.

Begin with the user journey

A visitor should quickly understand what the website does, who it helps and what action to take next. Navigation must expose important sections without making users hunt.

Check page-level SEO

Each important page needs a descriptive title, useful meta description, one clear main heading, canonical URL and indexable status. Metadata should describe the actual page rather than repeat generic keywords.

Build trust visibly

About, Contact, Privacy, Terms and Disclaimer pages should be easy to find. They should explain the real operator, data handling, limitations and contact method rather than contain a few generic lines.

Content must solve the task

A tool page should include instructions, limitations, examples and answers to common questions. Quantity does not compensate for copied or repetitive pages.

Technical discovery

Check HTTPS, mobile viewport, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, internal links and structured data. Submitting a sitemap helps discovery but does not guarantee indexing.

Do not treat a score as approval

Automated audits find signals. Search rankings and AdSense decisions are controlled by Google and cannot be guaranteed by a third-party score.

Important: Verify high-stakes decisions with the relevant qualified professional or official authority.
